Mr. Lazarus Lanquaye Lamptey is a fully qualified chartered accountant with experience of leading financial strategies in diverse companies. He has strong track record of performance in turnaround of organisations in a high paced environment. Over the years he has utilized keen analysis, insights and team based approaches to drive organizational improvements and implementation of best practices.
His key asset is demonstrated in his superior interpersonal skills, capable of resolving multiple and complex (sales, human resource, financial and operational) issues and motivating staff to achieve organizational targets.
Corporate Leadership Credentials and Work Experience
Mr. Lamptey is currently an Executive Director in charge of Finance where he provides strategic direction in finance and administration.
Prior to joining BI Micro Finance Company, he was the general manager of TV3 Network in 2013, where he superintended over commercial, technical and organizational projects. His position required him to provide leadership to Finance, Human Resource and Business Development Managers. His major achievement was seen in his negotiation and closing of multi-million cedi packages with MTN, Airtel and PZ Cursons
Between 2009 and 2012, Mr. Lamptey worked with Alliance Insurance Ghana Limited as a Chief Finance Officer. His role amongst others required him to track expenditure, operating budgets and long range financial plans. He also had the added responsibility of managing up to eight (8) administrative and financial staff to implement corporate financial procedures that ensured best practice.
From 2007 to 2009, he worked a Head of Finance and Investment at Equity Assurance Limited where he was responsible for preparing annual budget and budget monitoring reports for the entity’s board. He also demonstrated his financial credentials in the Preparation of monthly management and statutory accounts for audit.
Between 2005 and 2007 Mr. Lamptey worked with First National Savings and Loans Bank as its Financial Controller.
Mr. Lamptey began his financial life as a Trainee Accountant with Philip Kobbs & Co Ltd London in March 2001
Mr. Lamptey holds a Master of Science (MSc) Degree in Accounting with Finance from the London South Bank University 2007. He also holds an ACCA qualification from the London College of Accountancy, 2004
