Mr. Mark Ofori Amanfo is a very dynamic, industrious and achievement motivated professional. He has a very rich local and international corporate exposure. He has over fifteen (15) years of multi-industrial, airline management, manufacturing, tourism, not for profits and distribution.
Corporate Leadership Credentials and Work Experience
Mr. Amanfo is currently a Director at BI Micro Finance where he’s providing policy direction to enable the company meet its key performance indicators.
He’s also a managing partner at Virtual Point Associates, a company he co-founded in September 2008. He provides leadership in the management of the firm. He’s credited with leading his team to provide sterling internal audit for; Pinnacle Holding Company (Alcoholic beverages manufacturing – Kasapreko, plant concentrates, Real Estate and Plantation), international import and export, multi-sector statutory audits, public sector financial reporting and not for profit back office accounting. He has been able to grow their company’s clientele base from 10 to 45 over two years.
From 2005 to 2008, he worked with the North American Airlines as Accounts and Finance Manager in Ghana and Gambia. He rose to become Country Manager, Ghana in 2007 following a sterling performance on the job. He was key and instrumental in the re-link of West Africa to the United States by a direct flight. He led his team to become four times ‘Team Star’ achiever over two years and saved the company at least USD13,500.00 per month over a year.
From 2000 to 2005, Mr. Amanfo was the Expenditure Accountant for Ghana Airways. He worked diligently to clear six years of outstanding financial reporting gap and fully implemented ‘sun systems’ for the airline. He particularly initiated and executed a global reconciliation with oil marketing companies that saved the company $1,5m in alleged debt.
He worked on contract with Gold Coast Motors from 1999 to 2000, were he managed the finances for the company.
Mr Amanfo began his financial life with Unilever Ghana limited in 1998 as an Account Assistant.
Mr. Amanfo holds the following; University of Ghana Business School, MBA. He is also a Fellow with the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants. He BSc. (Administration) from the University of Ghana-School of Administration.
